Welcome to the Nagareyama City Website!

Nagareyama is located in the northeast suburbs of Tokyo, just 25 kilometers away from the heart of the capital.

Our city can be reached within 25 minutes from the Ginza, using the Joban Expressway via the Nagareyama　Interchange. In addition, it only takes 20 minutes from Akihabara by the new Tsukuba Express train, which is similar to the travel time to other Tokyo suburbs such as Akabane or Nakano.

However, there is a big　difference between these cities and Nagareyama, and that is Nagareyama's rich green forest-like environment.

The easy access to Tokyo and the rich green environment of Nagareyama offer comfort and amenities within a beautiful natural environment, including the Tone Canal, the longest inland canal in Japan, and the Nagareyama　Sports Park, which is set within a wooded area despite being located in front of Nagareyama's Central Park Station of Tsukuba Express Line.

Nagareyama features a family-oriented community, including after-school care centers in every elementary school for school children up to nine year old school children beside numerous daycare centers for preschool children. The city also provides seven Children's Centers, which you seldom find in other cities. Furthermore, Nagareyama will offer first-class medical support for pre school children, which requires payments of only 200 yen for each visit to the doctor or for hospitalization from the very first day from August 2006.
